Building My Dream: The Impact of Mentorship and Marketing on My Small Business

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to participate in the Eastern Michigan Small Business Networks- Cohort Program, made possible by a grant from the Small Business Network. This experience has been nothing short of transformative for my business, and I am excited to share the journey with you!
The grant provided a unique opportunity to work closely with a mentor to assess the needs of my small business and find the best strategies to move forward. It wasn’t just about figuring out what needed to be done, but how to do it in a way that aligns with my goals. This mentorship helped me clarify my vision and gave me the tools to create a sustainable growth plan.
Throughout the program, I also had access to several enriching workshops that deepened my understanding of essential aspects of business: marketing, social media strategies, bookkeeping, and networking with fellow small business owners. These workshops were invaluable in helping me refine my approach and ensure I am on the right path to success. It was a supportive community where everyone shared their knowledge and experiences, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn alongside.
One of the most exciting parts of this journey was the chance to hire Business Soil, an incredible one-stop-shop marketing firm that completely transformed the way I present my business. They helped me reimagine everything, from my logo to my website to the rack cards I use for promotions. They even created a Hulu ad for my brand, adding an entirely new layer to my marketing strategy. The depth of their expertise was evident in every detail, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
While Christmas Opening Day is still 275 days away, I couldn’t wait to share the results of all the hard work that has gone into this journey so far. Especially as we proceed with many new ventures this year.
